The Heights of Wessex (Orchestral)

Post by Arpeggio »

Here is some orchestral work with a Celtic feel that I did a couple months back. It is for a trailer so it may seem a non-cohesive musically but I hope you guys like it anyway. It features me on the Irish Whistle and I used EW/QL Symphonic Orchestra Silver for the rest.

Nicely done.

However - for my taste - if you use interesting solo instruments, like the tin whistle or the celtic harp in this tune, they deserve to be used more, not only a handful of notes. Could use them to show the motif a bit more, but alltogether the orchestral sound feels nice rounded.

Unfortunately I can't change anything now for that piece due it being for a trailer and the trailer is now done. However I'll try and keep that in mind for future compositions.
