A few of us were suposed to get free upgrade to Mixcraft7 !

Post by HawaiianEye »

I was told by Mixcraft reps on this forum, that if anyone purchased Mixcraft 6 (which I did on 11-14-14), at this late date, we would get a free upgrade to Mixcraft 7. So, how do we ( the customers who purchased Mixcraft 6 just days before the release ) get our free upgrade as promised? Also, what would be the cost to go "PRO", reflecting this same equality? Thank You!

Good questions! I bought MC6 back at the end of october. Another question would be if we get a free upgrade, how long do we have to implement the upgrade? I'm probably going to go MC7 Pro anyway. I went and received my upgrade codes by email today but they had regular upgrade prices.

Hi,

We'll be sending out the Mixcraft 7 registration codes out soon! Hang in there.

It will cost $74.95 to upgrade from Mixcraft 7 to Mixcraft Pro Studio 7.

Thanks Greg. Some of posters are getting nervous and upset about all this upgrade bottlenecking.
This will pass. Soon everybody will be happy!
You are keeping cool as a cucumber. Polite and apologetic for any supposed wrong.
And you are not hiding as many DEVs and Support crews do, when the pressure is on.
(In many cases, I can't blame them, because of the level of abuse hurled at them, as if it is Their personal fault things aren't going as smooth as perfection.)
Yet, You are right here with us, keeping the door's of communication wide open!
That in itself speaks volumes about you and your company's integrity.
I believe some of us will become embarrassed when we look back at our impatience. Me included.

Cool!
This may be covered elsewhere.
I just bought a Samson Graphite 25 key midi key board
It comes with KOMPLETE ELEMENTS 5.
It has separate 32 bit and 64 bit VST folders.
If I appropriate them to Mixcraft 6, will Mixcraft 7 when installed, find them?
I want to make sure everything is working.
Is it suggested we uninstall Mixcraft 6, before installing Mixcraft 7?
I also notice version 7 has 1000 additional loops, and a few more goodies.
Will any goodies be deleted from Mixcraft 6 once 7 is installed?
Thanks Acoustica Greg! and others!

Hi,

Mixcraft will find them if it is searching the VST folder where you installed the plug-in component of Komplete. Go into Mixcraft's Plug-Ins preferences and click Edit VST/VSTi Folders to add the VST folder if it's not already showing up in Mixcraft's list of VSTi Instruments.

You can have both Mixcraft 6 and Mixcraft 7 on your computer at the same time if you like.

Installing Mixcraft 7 won't remove anything from Mixcraft 6.

Hey Greg, I have a question for you. Where are the MC7 tutorials and mini tips videos? I understand it is the holidays and all but you are lagging dude!!! Just kidding !! I was just wondering if there was plans for new videos for all the new features in MC7? Watching the videos brought me over to MC6!!

The first priority was to get the software released. The tutorials will come next.
