Are the original files modified??

When adding a song do the Audio Processing (automatically boost songs, automatic loudness balancing, normalize track volume, automatically remove silence) alter or modify the original/source mp3 file?

Also, when adjusting the track volume or boost (in the audiofx button), are the original mp3 files modified?

No, the original files are never modified, with the exception of file tagging.
