Hi all!

If you check for updates (under the Help menu), we just added 213 new drum samples.

Don't see anything in the help menu about samples, or drum tracks, just another update of the software. Where are the samples again?

Oops, Crossed post-

I clicked on "check for updates" and it informed me I am up to date. (Surprise!) Then a pop up informed me I now have new sounds added to my library. (Thank you!) I haven't browsed them to see what they are yet though.

*(Keep in mind, all it added was the titles that are links to the files, which download when selected.)

You can choose Samples in the Library to just see samples.

And while we are on the subject.... Others have suggested it and I have to agree. The library is pretty big.
It would be nice if it were easy to eliminate a bunch of library entries that I would NEVER use. (Yeah, there's a lot of them.)
That by the way is intended as a polite feature request.....

You can always do it the old fashioned way, with a pickaxe and Excel:

There's a way to do it, but it's a bit technical. Browse to the following folder:

C:\ProgramData\Acoustica\Mixcraft\loops

Copy the .mldb7 files and rename them to have an extension of .bak. Rename the original files so that they have .csv extensions. You can then open them with Excel or edit them with Notepad and remove entries. They are just comma delimited files. Finally, rename the files one last time so they have the .mldb7 extension.

Are loops only available for 7 users? I just tried to update and message states "your loop library is up to date" but nothing in my with import date new than 05/31/15?

Hi,

That's right. These are samples, not loops, and earlier versions of Mixcraft didn't include samples.

Have you considered upgrading?

Mixcraft 7 has the OmniSampler, which can put the samples to good use: How to Build a Beat Fast video.

Mixcraft 7 is more stable than earlier versions of Mixcraft.
