A search bar for automation parameters would help a lot. Some VSTi have hundreds of parameters.

I can live with Mixcrafts piano roll...it is adequate. (FL Studio user here, I know piano rolls, lol.)

I don't want to pile on too much because I am of the train of thought that limitations are what breeds creativity. If every DAW had the same features, everything would be everything and that's not a boon to disparity, IMHO.

These limitations, or "quirks" go a long way to helping people get their own sound.

I think the two glaring issues are no internal midi routing and a pretty unintuitive sound browser. Just my $.02

That would be great, as well as the ability to save MIDI learn configuration.

A "Clip Gain" plug-in similar to the one seen here.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=B9VEK3LcDZg

Also, "Pitch Correction" plug-in similar to ZPlane Vielklang.

Thanks for the consideration.

Unlocking the Performance Panel!

I mean that would just be wonderful. Not that it's in a bad spot, it's just that being able to move it about would be a stellar convenience for those using multiple screens.... I'll beg if I must...

BIG MUST!!

Midi System Exclusive that supports Tyros and workstations like Sonar.
When you load a midi song In from the Tyros 5 sequencer to Mixcraft It does not play the Tyros sounds exactly and effects etc.

Sonar asks you that your song contains System Exclusive would you like to proceed .
You say yes and everything plays back as you made It
You can get Mixcraft to play the tyros sounds but has to be on separate tracks.
It would be more than handy to have Compatibility
I also would say Is to not put in too many bells and whistles or Daw will get overcrowded like most top end ones on the market :(

all the best
John

Ps I like the easy layout of this program and runs a dream with VST :D
Performance mode Is also a nice touch
My big recommendation to fellow musicians Is SCARLETT series of soundbox .real low latency 6ms and a I7 computer

Don't know if this has been said, but how about a "safe mode" or "sandbox mode" for plugins that are sometimes prone to crashing or causing fatal errors? A sandbox mode could load the plugin in a sandboxed process separate from Mixcraft, so that if a crash or fatal error occurs, it won't sink Mixcraft entirely.

Or at LEAST a faster parameter scrolling method, click-holding the arrows can take forever for some plugins.

And also, enabling the use of send tracks for the individual outputs in multiple-output plugins, such as Kontakt.

I'm new to Mixcraft but suggestions that would certainly smooth my workflow would be -

1. A simple method of creating small volume fades at the start and end of audio clips (dragging part of the edge on the side of a clip would be good).

2. The ability to toggle between Tracks view (when the dock/details area hidden) and a maximised MIDI editing window. E.g. Double click a MIDI clip opens the window, clicking X (or a shortcut keystroke) closes window to return to Tracks view as it was before.

3. W keystroke = go to start (I know the Home key does this but I'd really like a key on the left side of the keyboard to do this too)
