VST and DirectX effects from other companies

Ive heard about these from this forum, but what are these?

Hi,

VST and DirectX effects are effects that will "plug in" to many different programs. They have standard interfaces so they can be compatible with more than just one program. We have some extra ones that you can use with Beatcraft, Mixcraft and Spin It Again here:

If you have other audio programs that come with these types of effects, you may be able to use those effects with Acoustica programs.

You can also try searching sites like Download.com for VST and DirectX effects.

Ha! That was my reaction when I discovered plug-ins!
Here is my compiled list of my fav vst's that all work with Acoustica software
