HI,
In Mixcraft7 there is an example song called 'It Takes Time'. On the Mixer panel it shows a purple shaded Send section entitled 'Tamborine'. Can anyone explain exactly what's going on here please - I have never been able to understand the send function, which I think comes from analogue recording days?
But what way is it being applied to MC7 - what effect is it delivering to the demo track? What happens if you mute the send out, for example - or increase it a lot?
Many thanks.

Re: Send effect?
Hi,
In this project, there are two Send tracks. One has a reverb effect and the other has a delay effect. The send tracks allow each track to use varying amounts of the same effect, instead of having to put the same effect on 20 tracks and tweaking it over and over, you can have just one instance of the effect and send multiple tracks through it. You can control how much of the original track comes through and each track can be different. You can also automate it so that the effect comes and goes.
Here's a video tutorial: Mixcraft 7 Effects: Using Send Tracks

Thanks Greg,
Must experiment with this soon - MC7 looks like a wow!
Is there a discount for MC6 users please - have the demo version of 7 running right now

Hey kr236rk,
http://blog.acoustica.com/off-beaten-path/
I learned a lot this morning by watching the video and then it seemed to come together when reading Mark's post, downloading his sample project, and playing around with his settings.

I'm just learning about Send Tracks myself. I have been watching the video that Greg mentioned in his post. Also, you may want to look at the Zeros and Ones blog that was posted yesterday by Mark Bliss entitled "Off the Beaten Path". His blog is here:kr236rk wrote: I have never been able to understand the send function

Re: Send effect?
There is also some additional instruction for setting up a send bus in Mixcraft here:

The routing graphics seem to clarify things for some people.
Let me know if I can help.
