Vocal Effects Tips?

Post by Gatecrasher »

I know that a big difference depends on the actual recording, but I'd just like to know what are some good effects that you could add through Mixcraft which would help out the VOX alot. Perhaps something to make them lay more naturally and warmer?

Hi,

I'm not sure what you mean by "naturally and warmer," but you could try EQing the vocals.

Someone who wanted to make the vocals "come forward" might try compression.

Hi,
I was wondering if their is a certain effect thinggie for Males and Females at all.... for example for femal if I choose the Acoustic reverb
the Reverberation would be 83
Freg damping would be 93
Stereo width 100
wet mix 15
dry mix 100
things like that...and for the others... i was told that yiu guys show us how to do those in this forums but i can't find it.
You'll never know pain until you look into the eyes of the one you love. And they look away...

It sounds like you are looking for a VST reverb unit with some presets already installed that cater to certain types of voices.
Your best bet is find a VST reverb you like, and create your own presets and save them.
