I'm not sure how I'd categorize this either, so I thought "folk-jazz-fusion" was a good way to describe it. I like this piece! What is the instrument carrying the lead melody? Works well, with a nice solid bass line to anchor it. Thanks! Rick.

Thank you. - The lead instrument is an Uilleann Pipe, that's where the "Folk" came from, although it's not really folk-style.midimoose wrote:I like this piece! What is the instrument carrying the lead melody?

Of course, I should have known it was Uilleann pipe, I'm just not used to it being played in this context! Great sound. I was a huge fan of Paddy Keenan and Bothy Band in the 70's. I've heard some stunning duets with fiddle and pipes, and it serves to remind me what a wonderful instrument it is. Kudos for keeping the tradition alive and integrating that sound into modern music. Thanks again, Rick.

Great mix. Love the guitar and drums, very cool!

Thanks, Rick. There are quite a lot of modern bands that incorporate pipes into all kinds of styles. But yes, it's one of the coolest instruments ever made
