New song...

Post by M@rkus »

As you know I´m trying to mirror Argents album "Circus" from 1975. This is my answer to their second track "Highwire", it´s called "3-D man". I suppose you can call my music "soft prog" (very soft, kind of...flacid...) and I try to stay within the parameters of my ability.
I try to keep the song interesting for both the listener and myself. This song ended up with some 60+ tracks, and my computer couldn´t manage. I had to download the trial version of MC 7 to land this project!
Thanks for listening!

That was great Marcus. I love the style changes while keeping to the theme.

There's like at least three different songs in one aren't there! :D

I particularly like the one from 3:00 to 5:45 myself. 8)
Stay in tune, Mark

Nice work. Always fascinated by the effort needed to cohesively put together multiple themes like this. I assume this was pieced together form several projects?

Nice work M@rkus. I like how you applied different methods of addressing the overall theme of the production.

Thanks a lot, both Mab098157 and Studio 919, I´m glad you listened to the song and wrote a comment!

@Mab098157, Yes one of the parts was an older idea I´ve had in store for a few years (the part that starts with the distorted song). Part from that I chiseled out the rest of the song bit by bit.

@Studio919, Thank you! When I look back on the song with some perspective, I kind of like the way I tied together the different parts myself. I wasn´t really aware of that while I worked with the song!
I have always liked music that isn´t predictable (prog mainly), and surprises the listener! That´s not to say I don´t appreciate a three minute pop song!

Thanks again!
