I'm working on a wav sound file (from a live performance) and a peak is indicated but it's really not showing an inordinate amount of power on the form. What I'm used to is a wav form actually presenting a peak when peaks occur but is there something else to it that I'm missing?
Also, is there a way to set the indicator to time instead of frames on the bottom screen? -h

I cant answer about the lower window, as I don't really use it for anything on audio tracks.
Don't know if you can change it to a time based line but it seems it should be offered to help find a location in reference to the main audio track doesn't it.
On the peaking question, It looks like you have one track (#2) soloed?
Which meters indication concerns you, the track or main?
And whats on the effects bus?

mmm must be something on the FX of the audio track#3 you are showing? (we can't see audio track#1 in your image)AHornsby wrote:I'm working on a wav sound file (from a live performance) and a peak is indicated but it's really not showing an inordinate amount of power on the form
sometimes I've had problems when another audio track is hiding UNDERNEATH the current one (and thus causing the track to be so hot like you show), just move your highlighted track down a track out of the way to check.... and that confused me for quite a long time!
