Help with settings on recording wizard screen

Post by Grampst »

I'm trying to transfer my old Jazz collection of LP's to CD, many of which were purchased in Japan, and don't have the cut lengths on the LP.

On one LP in particular the volume is loud and then goes to very low, and it ends up giving me way more tracks then there really are. I tried merging and ended up with a real mess.

On the recording screen if you click settings, it opens another window. One of the tabs says if the volume changes by 10% it considers it a track. If I were to change that to 60 or 70 am I going in the right direction?

Thanks

Hi,

With some recordings, you may just have to split the tracks manually.

Increasing the percentage probably wouldn't help. Since you've got lots of quiet spots, try lowering the percentage.

Thanks, that's basically what I ended up doing.
