comparison to other softwares

Post by bryan6969 »

Hello all. I'm thinking about purchasing Mixcraft to use for recording rock demos. It's a solo project, just myself on guitar and vocals and simulated drums and bass. Can someone tell me how the sound quality is on Mixcraft? Maybe a similar comparison to another software? I'm currently using Cakewalk Guitar Tracks Pro version 2. Thanks.

Not pushing Mixcraft because I work here :-) But it really is the best bang for the buck.
The sound quality is perfect, and it is worlds easier than the big guys.

Check out some examples here, this is also Beatcraft (our software drum machine) on the drums.

The R&B song on that page is NOT mixcarft or beatcraft.

Thanks again Eric. I just read your reply to my post on the Beatcraft page. Did they use Mixcraft for all these demo samples too? Did they use the effects of Mixcraft or something additional? Did they use Mixcraft both for the tracks and final mixdown? Thanks again.

Yes, many combinations of what you have asked.

Some are Beatcraft/Mixcraft/default sounds and default effects, like the song "rescue Me" http://bottomfeeders.servebeer.com/down ... e%20Me.MP3
And House of the rising sun http://www.demondigital.com/downloads/i ... 20of%20the rising%20sun.MP3

Some are other effect plugins like Nowhere left to go http://bottomfeeders.servebeer.com/down ... o%20go.mp3

Most were mised and mastered with Mixcraft 2.5, some with other host apps.

You can certainly get pro results using an all acoustica arsenal, but it's always fun to add drum sounds and plug-ins :-)

Cool, I'll keep it hush, hush:) I really dig your stuff; very fresh. I'm doing a very similar sound and it's good to know that the Acoustica gear can achieve these good results. I'm sure I'll be needing more support once I really dig into the softwares . . .
