additional instruments to use

Post by bryan6969 »

Hello all. I am looking to find other instrument sounds to use with either Beatcraft or Mixcraft. I only need bass guitar and maybe a couple synth pads. Anyone know of anything that is compatible with the Acoustica gear? Thanks.

You can use any sound within beatcraft, it doesn't matter if it is not percussin.
As long as the sounds are in a compatibkle format such as wav, mp3, ogg, wma.

There are a lot of plug-ins that will make these sounds for you, and then you could record each sound with Mixcraft for use in Beatcraft.

Here is my plug-ins page http://www.demondigital.com/backstage/plugs.php

And here is a page with some sounds made for Beatcraft http://www.demondigital.com/backstage/tutorials.php

Thanks Eric. Your tutorials on your site are amazing and very helpful. I have been trying to get rid of that mechanical feel and go "human". I must leave a donation.

Regarding the plug-ins, can you recommend a good bass guitar? On this note (no punn intened), you mentioned recording them in Mixcraft and then using them for Beatcraft. How does this work? Is this what I would have to do to get all the different notes of the bass guitar? Thanks again.

Thanks for the kind words about my site, and thanks for considering donating :-)

yeah, in order to use Beatcraft as a bassist, you would need to record notes from a bass and use them in the app. I can see lots of problems with that though, like sustain or cut off notes, it just won't wound real.

I did it with a guitar part to make it sound industrial, it worked great.

I think you might do better to find a virtual instrument that will work as a stand alone app, and then plug a midi keyboard into your pc to use it with.
Or, there is always the old fashioned "play bass" approach :-)
