Hi,
I haven't used Mixcraft for a while, but this morning when I tried to use it, I've got this message: "impossible to find ACUUTILS.DLL".
I have desinstalled Mixcraft, then reinstalled it, and the same message appears.
Do you know what happens?
Thanks a lot

Are you running any antivirus software while reinstalling? The AV software may be flagging the dll's as suspect. Turn them off while installing.

Also try installing whilst in Administrator mode

Good luck :)

On your copy of Mixcraft that is running on your computer, go in to Mixcraft preferences/plugins and ensure only the library location of actual VST and VSTI is a shown. You could also uncheck the box marked Load Directx effects. See if this helps.

Hi,

Thanks for letting us know that you got it straightened out!

For anyone else reading this, you can run into this problem if you add Mixcraft's main folder to your VST search list. Click on the File menu in Mixcraft, select Preferences, then Plug-Ins and then click on "Edit VST/VSTi Folders." Remove any lines that are not actual VST plugins folders. Generally, they will have "VST" somewhere in the name. Having "C:\Program Files(x86)\Acoustica Mixcraft 6" in the list will cause the errors reported here.

Hi!
Thank for this new help.
So I have been on "Edit VST/VSTi Folders." and there the window is empty.
After, I went to "automatic search "VST/VSTi Folders", I see these 3 lines:
C:\Program FIles\VST\
C:\Program FIles\VStPlugins\
C:\Program FIles\Cakewalk\VstPlugins.

Then Mixcraft ask if I want to add them.
What I must do?

Thanks.

These should be ok to add. If you have any problems after, you can always edit the preferences again and remove what you don't want.

Hi,

Yeah, once again, if it has "VST" in the folder name, it's probably okay.

Here's the deal: you don't want Mixcraft to come across any files that end in .dll during its VST search unless they are VST plugin .dll files, because Mixcraft will try to load each .dll file it finds as a VST plugin whether it is one or not.
