General question - downloading MIDI presets

Post by TrevsAudio »

Hey fellas!

I've started using my Behringer V amp pod again, and notice on the Behringer website there are a lot of presets which can be downloaded.

Question is - how?

When I download from the site it comes as a .syx file - but how do I get it into the pod?

I've tried Googling but to no avail..

Ps - the pod does have a MIDI in/out - would I just use a MIDI to usb cable?

Any help, as always, appreciated :D

EDIT: Being a complete technophobe, maybe I should add that these downloads are different tone settings - ie amp and speaker combinations, tone and effects settings..

I used to have the V Bass Amp from Behringer. It was along time ago and I'm going from memory but I believe there was software that would load the presets from your computer to the V Amp. Here is a website I found describing it. http://www.guitarampmodeling.com/viewto ... 69&t=19055.

Try the above link and click on the downloads link at the top of the page. I think you'll need your usb to midi cables load the preset!
