Velocity problem on D4 midi note (center Re )

Post by colaverde »

I'm using the Pianissiomo demo for about 10 days and I think the quality of this piano is vastly superior to other similar softwares ( Pianotek, true piano, Toontrack) however I found a very disturbing problem with the velocity of the middle "re" note ( D4 ) wich sounds weak and much softer than the "C4" and the "E4"....I think there's a problem with the louder layers....Of course I tested my keyboard many times with other softwares and with a midi monitoring and the KB appears to be OK....btw it's a Fatar studiologic SL990xp and I use pianissimo as a VST with a personal velocity curve wich matches the keyboard and software very similarly to the real acoustic piano I usually play (Schimmel upright)

Hi,

Do you have the same problem in the standalone version of Pianissimo?

I have played with both standelone and VSTi versions and found the C#4 and D4 (presumably using the same samples) have less attack (less metallic sound) than the surrounding notes but otherwise the sound level appears to be OK....
