We can't fix them unless we know what's happening. So far, you're the only one who as reported these problems. Please send us a project file, even though the problem goes away when you open and close a project.aj113 wrote:A fix for the fade in and crossfade bugs would be my priority.

Re: Mixcraft Suggestions!
I sent Greg a pm for this and aswell as answering he also suggested id put it here, so here it is..
One of the things i find the hardest is recording and mixing vocals, and i think alot of my frustrations
could be fixed with more/better vocal presets..There is a handful of voice presets but Imho apart from the
rock ballad one they are either straight effects or made to sound like you have recorded it somewhere else
(bathroom, stadium etc..), so to have a few more presets to work with would be cool.
Maybe genre based voice presets? Pop voice, rock voice (more gritty), rap voice etc..
WOuld be cool to have more voice presets to use as a starting point to get the result im looking for

We also need some improvement with the metering.

What sort of improvement?Sami Seif wrote:We also need some improvement with the metering.
Re: Mixcraft Suggestions!
IMHO, dependent what you do, the requirements for meters are just so different that it would be close to impossible to make a meter that caters for all that.
It would probably complicate the software enourmously, (because, if you can choose, this means, you have to choose), and keep the folks from more important tasks.
Besides that, you don´t want a monumental light show on every track.
There is plenty of third party meters that do everything you want - many for free.
If your goals are growing, you likely can affort the ones that have to be payed for.
No, in my opinion, there is other more important stuff in the queue.
BTW: I still think native side chaining would be such a major breakthrough.

Re: Mixcraft Suggestions!
We need ways the see what the peak level is, what the average level is, what the minimum level is, and honestly the stock spectrum analyzer is just no good honestly, I have never found and actual use for that plugin.
All major DAWs have better metering check pro tools or logic for example.
Using plugins for metering is annoying, it's much better to just have it visible on every track.
And if some people don't want that option added in, you can just add it in and have an option where people can choose the have advanced metering or not.

I suspect Hobbs meant "draw" curves and shapes in the automation, as many other DAW's allow.Sami Seif wrote:Can't we already draw automation?Hobbs wrote:

Re: Mixcraft Suggestions!
We can draw curves if we really want to, we can just add several points so that the slope has a curvy shape to it.
Re: Mixcraft Suggestions!
We really should be able to import tracks direct from a CD.
Having to use a third party program to rip the track then import
it into Mixcraft is unnecessary and time consuming.
Other DAWs let you do it,why not Mixcraft.
Software should be easy to use,how easy would this be?

Re: Mixcraft Suggestions!
Oddly and happily enough, the one that ships with Mixcraft is a freebie from Voxengo, and they have long since improved upon it, with both 32 and 64-bit versions, and FFT and Analog versions. The FFT one, SPAN, is in my default project template, in the master fx buss.Sami Seif wrote:honestly the stock spectrum analyzer is just no good honestly, I have never found and actual use for that plugin.
They have also updated the Boogex amp simulator and have a nice 16-band graphic EQ.
Free to you, and me, and everyone else, Sami:

Yep:

Also, if you want a few more features, there's an inexpensive upgraded version as well.

Here's 3 more suggestions:
-tweakable keyboard shortcuts
-Improved scoring:
Pedal markings for pianos and harps for example, the ability to view all the instruments in the score at once, with the abylity to convert them to pdf, Adding ornaments, performance directions and phasing instructions...
-The ability to bypass all the plugins in the track at once with a keyboard shortcut.

Re: Mixcraft Suggestions!
There is quite a work flow factor of points vs curves especially when dealing with volume automations where every bump is heard in an exposed passage. Also the way MIDI automations are implemented at this point makes virtually impossible to do a CC11 soft beginning or musical taper at ends of periods and phrases without having to correct a multitude of 'bumps' in the CC# 'curve'.Sami Seif wrote:We can draw curves if we really want to, we can just add several points so that the slope has a curvy shape to it.
