Just a note for the sampler: if you use Alpha sampler instead of Omnisampler for a single sound, it will pitch up and down automatically depending on the MIDI note played back.
And for Omni sampler, if you use a standard crash, for example, you can set the release to somewhere between 600 and 1000ms and if you play a sixteenth note or an eighth note you'll get a fairly convincing choke especially if paired with a kick
Thank you for the tips cactus-head!
I tend to fixate on the issue and forget about alternatives. Your suggesting the Alpha sampler is the right way to go.
And I love the idea regarding the release settings on Omni sampler. I spent a ton of time trying to fenagle the automation settings with lackluster result. Never thought to mess with the release in this instance.

Is there any way to simulate a global volume effect within Mixcraft without having to mess with the track volumes? That would be useful, if possible.
If you're using compressors on the Master track, could you not use an Output track to put the compressors on and send all the tracks to that instead, then output the Output track to the Master track, then you wouldn't need to have a fixed Master track output level ?

Go check Studio One 5 Professional; look at their sheet music editor.... everything a composer needs.
Can't you do the same? Add more articulations, make it MORE professional, every musician needs it.
You do have one, though not easy to use........
THIS IS ONLY A SUGGESTION, it would be wonderful to work like a professional.
I just finished my trial of 10.5 RS and I'm really impressed with your DAW, especially coming from ProTools. I am considering purchasing PRO, but was curious about its routing capabilities, which may or may not cover everything below.
I don't know if this has already been addressed, but I would love to see a proper AUXILIARY TRACK be included in the next build or a future version.
Maybe this is only the case for RS right now, but the only Inputs you can select on a given track are those from your interface or MIDI device (etc.). We can send the output of any track to a SubMix or Bus, but we can't send the output from those SubMix or Bus tracks to an Audio Track. There is a workaround for this, in that I could always solo the given tracks, mix them down, and then import the audio back into the project. But life could be simpler.
For the Auxiliary Track, I think we should be able to select any input AND output from within the project and be able to record/mix its audio accordingly.
Every other DAW I'm aware of has an auxiliary function like this, so it's a no-brainer for Mixcraft. It really improves workflow, expands routing, provides another option for converting virtual instruments to audio and for mixing down multiple tracks to a single audio track, and so forth.
It would have been good in the new 6.11/6.12 update to provide the option to mark products as Owned and to include a filter option to hide them, especially with so many items added in the Store now.
I'd already acquired all of the EastWest and Plugin Alliance VSTs as well as most of the Cherry Audio synths, so it's a real pain having to scroll through so many items to see what is new.

Does the Show Owned option help at all?
showownedMX10.png
Not really, Greg. I already know what I've got and the 'Show Owned' tab only selects items I purchased directly through Mixcraft Store anyway. So with the likes of EastWest, where I have the subscription and access to all of their libraries and Cherry Audio/Waves where I purchased the bundles a while ago, I also own a lot of the stuff available in the Store already. But there is no way to tag these as 'Owned' also? So I'm just scrolling through pages and pages of stuff that I already have. Clicking on Show Owned also takes me out of the Store listings, so it serves no purpose for me.
Rather than 'Show Owned', perhaps 'Hide Owned' would be a better option with the ability to manually mark products as Owned, if purchased externally? The Waves website has that feature where you can toggle the owned items from display. It works really well.
Better still, why not just move all of the purchased items into the 'Show Owned' tab? It would be great if I could just open the Store Tab and be greeted ONLY with the products that I currently don't own? I'm sure there must be a way to do that?
Is worth it. Native sampler is best for creative sampling or resampling in DAW. In 3rd party sampler we can't load sample directly from audio track and etc. We no need library players like Kontakt here. Simply, alpha and omni look very sad in 2024.
I posted something similar a month or so ago. Since then, I ran across a free sampling tool called 'Momentum'. Very powerful and easy to use. Can't beat the price.

So, lately I've been working with piano guide tracks so as to match up the vocals and be able to pitch correct as well as align them. I put them in the same track but in separate lanes. I have to zoom in a lot, and when I do I need to be able to mute the piano guide. I realize I can right click and then properties and then tick the muted box. Otherwise I have to zoom out and click it at the start of the clip or split the clip and click the newly formed mute button. But it would be so much easier if there was a mute/unmute button visible when I hover over the lane or right click and mute is readily available. Second choice would be a hotkey to mute lanes?
UPDATE: Turns out there is a mute/umnute button, but you have to hover over an empty lane, then right click to get lane options. My issue stems from when I'm zoomed in on audio and needing to mute/unmute while in that position.
