Speaking of lanes, I find working with them cumbersome as you can only (un)mute, select or delete one at a time. It would really help if there was:
  • Select-all or deselect-all lanes operation on a track
  • Mute, unmute and delete lane operations on the currently selected lane(s), rather than just one
  • An option to delete muted lanes

Hello,

In case no-one knew, there are multiple assignable hotkeys for lanes:

Add Lane
Remove Lane
Delete Lane
Delete Empty Lanes
Mute All Clips in a Lane
Unmute All Clips in a Lane
Select All Clips in Lane

Check Mixcraft Preferences > Hotkeys

  • ARA-2 support that is not limited to Celemony Melodyne 5, so that you can also use other ARA-2 plugins in Mixcraft.

More options for creating and editing MIDI files, lyrics, MIDI or karaoke text.

The ability to switch off and remove the equalizer and compressor from the channel strips on the mixer.

The ability to replace all Mixcraft plugins with your own plugins.

Higher resolution graphics (GUI) for Mixcraft as a whole.

1. Track comping for vocals would be nice feature. (Studio One, Logic Pro and Ableton Live style)

2. Transport bar at the top to dock another location:

Flying Faders (volume and pan changes from the mix board.)

Ability to highlight or mark folders in the library to indicate favorite folders, much like marking files.

Display the automation lane and click the little lock icon next to the automation lane's Arm button.

Set volume fader to follow envelope or control track volume option in Mixcraft 10.

Here are a few must haves:

1. Transport needs to be able to display hrs:m when the track view grid is set to beats. This way you can see the total time of the project without having to change the grid to "time". Its redundant to have the transport in beats when you can clearly see where the play flag is in the project.

2. Clips (audio/midi) that are being edited in the sound tab, needs to follow the grid of the project. Clips look like they are on measure 1, when in the song you are at measure 9.

3. Have the ability to hide the audio tracks in the track view. This way you can expand them in the mixer with out seeing them cluttering up the track view.

4. Need to be able to custom label the midi channels/lanes. Currently it lists the channel # in the lane. But I can't tell if its violins, brass, percussion, ETC.

5. Submixs or what I call busses, should be placed to the right side of the mixer where the master track is. This way all of your busses are in one location rather than being spread across the project/mixer.

6. Make the colors of the tracks follow the color of the buss tracks.

Hi,

no.2 exists in MC 10. On the piano roll left of the keys is a button "Switch to Project Time"

no.5 Buses exist as their own thing and are on the right side next to the master etc. These tracks are output buses and can have tracks routing audio to them. Submixes are groupings of tracks and have a different function than the busses. Track groups can be grouped within other groups so they behave very differently than a bus.

So just to differentiate: a submix is simply a group of tracks and can be nested in other submixes. An output bus track is a controlled audio output that can be routed to separate hardware or virtual ports. Individual tracks or submixes can be routed to output bus tracks.

The function is different than what you are used to but the bus is next to the master on the mixer and in mixcraft a submix is not a bus; but a submix can be routed to a bus which would appear in the location you want.

Got it! Thanks for the #2 tip!!

I suppose I get the idea behind the output busses being able to send them to various hardware, but I think it could still be simplified and easier to navigate by treating the output busses as a "submix". The "submix/output bus" could then be routed to whereever you choose. Albiet Master, output 1/2, output,3/4 etc. In the current scenario, as it stands is kind of redundant, at least how I'm thinking of it. Individual tracks->submix->output bus->Master.
What I'm suggesting is to do away with the submix. Individual track->output bus->Master or to hardaware then to Master. Again I think you could achieve the same thing by deleting the current submix track. Or if there is a scenario I'm not thinking of, for the separate submix and output bus, then just allow the submix channel to be dragged over to where the Master is in the mixer. It would make it so much easier to visually see all of the submixes in one place rather than having to scroll back and forth to find them on the mixer.

It would be really innovative if there was a small dot or something everywhere in each workspaces on which you could use the mouse to display the current shortcuts as a tooltip for the workspace. Then I wouldn't have to remember them all.

And it would be even better if you could assign them directly there, because only those offered by the work area are available. Then I could even assign myself the same ones in different work areas at the moment when I need them.

So you would have a few shortcuts that you know and that are always the same and some that you can assign ad hoc when needed. And you could also see them immediately via a tooltip.

This would be very helpful if, like me, you don't constantly work with shortcuts. But sometimes you need them when you have to do many things several times in a row.

FEATURES:
1. Track comping (vocals). (Studio One, Logic Pro and Ableton Live has advanced version and Pro Tools has simple)

2. Ability to send tracks between projects with automation and effects on them. (Logic pro has track importing from another project.)

3. Improved library for imported loops:
-User created collections for own loops (like have kicks, acoustic guitar etc. on own lists)
-Library categories/columns (name, tempo etc.) to have identical items for folder, favorite and library tabs
-Keep columns width stable when exploring different collections or tabs.
-Bulletproof for import settings, now tempo and key guessing comes even leaving them out in option.
-Cannot see format info(bit depth and sample rate) for imported sounds (shown only on folder tab)

4. Ability to copy paste midi cc controller data. Like wanting to copy pitch wheel curve onto other place on midi track.

ADJUSTMENTS:
5. Loopings blue line overrides text of markers. If writing lyrics on markers and looping section, cannot see text clearly. Maybe blue line go a bit lower to a level of tempo and key info.

6. Loops top of each other. Sometimes when copying loops they accidentally end up on top op each other and causes double volume level. There is no way to see if 2 or more loops are overlapping. Crossfade is showing up only when clip ends passes each other.

7. Way to clear recent projects FILE-> RECENT PROJECTS with right click or all in once and on new project page way to select more than one project and right click to remove from list.

CUSTOMIZABLE BEATS/BARS STARTING POINT.

I do editing of other producer's music and they give notes on my edits at certain bar sections. Problem is, their starting points vary and I have to figure out where they land on Mixcraft's fixed timeline and then compensate by counting how many bars off it is. If there was a way to edit the bar/beat ruler to match the audio, that would be fantastic.
