Reported render length is not correct

Post by bcunningham »

I may be missing something really obvious...

When I look at my mix it says "73 minutes 21 seconds used. No supported recording device found!". Seemingly all good since I don't have a burner attached.

But then I render the file to a WAV, open in in Media Player, and it plays for 1 hour 12 minutes and 43 seconds... _not_ right.

So I get out my calculator and calculate the total mix length by adding up the reported track lengths, and instead of being longer than 73 minutes 21 seconds it's actually shorter...72 minutes and 55 seconds.

That shorter length is probably due to the visible track length taking into account the trims and crossfades, so I'm okay with that.

But I need to know in advance _exactly_ how long the mix is going to be when rendered.

Should I be changing a setting? Is this a bug?

I'm using DJ Twist and Burn 1.02 (Build 145)

Thanks!

Hi,

Try beta version 1.03 build 147 from Acoustica's beta page.

"Beta" means that this version is still being tested, of course.
