copy 'n' pasting

i recorded my chorus part of my song however i can't copy and paste it to the next area where i want the chorus to come up. is there a way to force it or is that just a mess up on the creator of the beat?
when i try to paste it, the section i've copied wont fit into the split second i want it to.

Which program are you using? Mixcraft? What version do you have?
