Info for the dev team: my first crash... [SOLVED]

Post by D@n »

My first crash... ...Info for the dev team...

When I use the "small play green" button in piano roll view (to listen loop), I had 3 crash when, simultaneously, I moved/edited notes.

So, for now, I'm restrict to using only the play button of the transport bar.

During the crash, I used 4 instances of reFX Nexus (v2.7.4, last version) combined on one inst track, 4 other Nexus combined on another inst track and one instance of XLN Audio Addictive Drums (v1.5.4). So only 3 track with somme MIDI clips.

All (OS, Mixcraft & plugins) in 64-bit

Note: the MC CPU gauge did not exceed 7% (which is very good! ...better than with FL Studio). ..and OS CPU gauge between 1~4%.
I've eclectic tastes: Metal, Orchestral, Chillout, New Age and a bit of EDM

MC Pro Studio 8.1 B413 (64-bit)

I'm getting quite a few crashes while editing in the piano roll too. So far I hadn't been able to isolate the cause to file a bug report, but will concentrate on the button in the piano roll today to see if I can confirm.

Me too, while the week-end. I think I will be able to reproduce (with video capture + crash log), if it can help the dev team. If some other users want to test, just do play loop in the piano roll — using the green play button —, with somme 3rd party VSTi and move some notes quickly.

Hi,

You're using build 390, right? If not, try updating.

If you get a crash like that with build 390, quit Mixcraft, submit an Acoustica Support Request, and attach your mixcraft-log.txt file and mixcraft-crash.dmp file (if one was generated).

I just tried it with four virtual instruments, looping playback on the piano roll and moving notes around and I was fine.

Hi,

We found a problem involving editing MIDI while previewing the clip at a tempo other than 120. This will be fixed in the next build. Thank you for reporting this!

Hi,

Build 391 will never be released...

...because there will be a build 392.

The release date depends on how the testing goes, as always.

Excuse me. I have not had much time to test for 2 weeks. But, I have installed the last build 394 and everything is ok so far!
