Does Omnisampler actually sample?

Say I want to record a sample snippet from somewhere .. Does Omni sampler actually record or should I record the sample into Mixcraft as audio?

Hi,
Omnisampler doesn't record, so you'd just record something normally, trim it the way you want it, and then use that in Omnisampler. There are also a bunch of samples in Mixcraft's library that you can use (change the library setting to Samples).
