Ensoniq VFX-SD - the only midi keyboard I have used - it has served me well
16 voice polyphonic after touch - a bit old but still kicking

Started with Akai MPK Mini MKII (25) - pads are a little stiff, overall a nice beginner keyboard (specs here). Served me well, now it's not used so often, but still I keep it. But be careful, it's unusable with iOS without a USB-Hub.
Then got Novation Impulse (49) - which is really great about software updates and long term support for their product. Keys feels absolutely amazing. The only downside that it's USB only, so an adapter required in case you're going to use it w/o a computer.

I've used an M Audio Prokeys 88 keyboard for quite a few years now with different DAWs and now I've been using MC 9 Pro Studio for a while now and my keyboard intergrated perfectly.

Re: MIDI Controller Keyboard Survey
Are there any good controller keyboards with proper piano action. I mostly just use the midi out on my Clavinova at home, because that proper piano feel is so good.
But I"d really like to find a dedicated midi keyboard with 88 keys of *proper* weighted action AND pitch/modulation and whatever assorted CC doodads are available.. Every "weighted" midi keyboard I've found still feels like cheap plastic with little real weight on the fingers.
A good dual-register keyboard for live stuff would be amazing too. But the only dual register keyboards I've found are stage organs worth $3K+

I've heard the Studiologic 88 Grand is good, but why not just get a digital piano and use it as a controller?

Re: MIDI Controller Keyboard Survey
I use an Arturia Keylab 49 in my recording room/studio and a Doepfer waterfall keyboard for everything else.
Re: MIDI Controller Keyboard Survey
Korg nanoKONTROL 2, and MIDIplus minicontrol 32.
They are cheap and compact and get the job done, especially the Korg, it's an exceptional value ($20 for a used one )

Re: MIDI Controller Keyboard Survey
I have three -
Arturia Keylab Essential 49 - Love it, love the feel of the keys, love Arturia's integration with their plugins.
Arturia Minilab mkII - Love it, love the feel of the keys, take this one with me when I travel.
Novation Launchkey 49 (mkII I think) - Like it, got it for having more pads/controls than the Arturia, but don't like the key feel nearly as much.
