Re: Recording into Mixcraft 8 from Web Browser
Hi,
Good question. The tech specs for the L380 Yoga don't show the audio chipset. That might be because it's different for different regions.

After doing a bit more research it appears Stereo Mix was dropped from Thinkpads some time ago. There is a product called Virtual Audio Cable that acts as a software patch to connect inputs with outputs. You can google it and see videos of it on You Tube. Might need to be a bit computer software knowledgable to use it!

Yeah, the only thing I could find for that Thinkpad was the ALC3287 chipset, and Realtek doesn't offer a download for that.

Okay thank you... I don't need Stereo Mix right now, I just thought it might be nice to have incase someday I might need it. I just got a Akai MPK-249 delivered today, but there isn't a Mixcraft preset on it (I sent Akai a message asking them to add Mixcraft presets to their products ), so I'm in the process of manually mapping it to Mixcraft 8 right now. So far, I'm impressed with this Akai MPK-249, it's awesome, and it should really help speed up my work flow. We've come a long ways from the analog days, and live in good times. Thanks again everyone for all the help, I love the Acoustica forums... everyone here is great.

Re: Recording into Mixcraft 8 from Web Browser
One of the Microshaft updates must have wiped out the stereo mix. My system didn't even have Realtek listed in device manager any longer. I was able to restore stereo mix by going to a Microsoft download page for Realtek sound drivers. I selected the larger one for my specific OS dated from December 2018. Now, I've got the Realtek HD Audio Manager back as well. But for how long Microshaft?
EDIT: FWIW, I just checked and remembered that the one size fits all RealTek drivers don't support 24 bit recording on my ALC888S-VD. Some time in the past I found the drivers from the PC maker and apparently they were customized to my chip and the only ones to support 24 bit. I had it all set and microsoft came along and decided to wipe it out and replace it with their generic drivers. So today I'm back to the Realtek one size fits all drivers. It may not happen to everyone, but something to keep in mind if you record in 24 bit.

Hi,
Yeah, I found that same PDF. Realtek’s download page doesn’t offer drivers for that chipset as far as I could see.
