Doesn't that do exactly what you want?
Here's a thought, remove the Replace option for looping since it doesn't work.

Hi,

So, maybe Replace mode should become grayed out if loop playback is engaged on a track? But what if Replace mode is your default mode? What if you engage loop mode after you've already selected Replace mode?

Good questions... My guess is it would do exactly what it does now.

Hi,

Maybe a note in the help file explaining that Replace mode isn't available while loop recording mode.

I think the Replace mode being grayed out when loop playback is engaged on a track would be lest confusing for most users. Anyway, have a fantastic night and thank you.

Okay, thanks for your feedback!

So I'm had a really long comment, but I'm just gonna go ahead and move it to the other request thread, since this one has a 3 request limit

I think you have made a good case here, describing the need well, and a good suggestion for a solution. (FWIW I have advocated for improvements in routing options for a long time, including options for send return routing.)

 well actually, heres the potential issue as I consider this.
It could be a real headache to help people diagnose some potential issues that may arise from expanded routing options. To put it mildly. THAT could drive Greg and others mad!

What would you think of the suggestion for having two "modes" (not versions please, for other reasons) such as perhaps a simple or "basic" mode and an "advanced" or tweaker mode?
Yeah that might be tough to pull off. Not sure. Just a "spitballing" suggestion here, but yet oddly enough its very similar to the very first suggestion I ever offered back when v.5 was being released if I recall correctly!

Hi,

Where does this fall in your top 3 feature requests for Mixcraft 9?

We're actually past the point where anything else will be added to Mixcraft 9.0. We're trying to avoid "feature creep," which delays the release of the software. I think 9.0 has a a good group of cool features that have been popular feature requests over time.

Personally, far enough down the wishlist to move it to a new subject thread.
Perhaps v9.1 or 9.2 or...... v10 feature suggestions.

Since no more request for MX9 are wanted, maybe this thread should now be locked?

Hi,

No, further suggestions would be for Mixcraft 9.x and also maybe to confirm that we're already on the right track with what we've got for Mixcraft 9.0.

Here's a stupid one but I'm in UX, so -

Don't put a big "9" in the application's green icon. Put an "M." Or better yet, "MC" (which stands for Mixcraft but subliminally means Master of Ceremonies  ).

A bit late to the party but I'll throw in my 3 cents.

These all relate to the samplers

1. A visualization of loaded audio clips & simple controls over samples loaded into the alpha/omnisampler (this includes stretching, reversing, and settings start/end points

2. An increase to the alpha/omni sampler pitch bend range as well as a built in portamento/legato glide

3. An independent formant control in the sampler (this would be typically auto linked to pitch but having the capability to toggle for separate control)

Not sure how hard any of these are to implement

ABLETON LINK functionality. It a free tech from Ableton that allows sync via WiFi. It's been adopted by many iOS apps, as well as NI Traktor and Maschine, as well as the new Akai MPCs nd Force.

Basically, it's an awesome way to sync up a rig without cables, and would extend the usefulness of Mixcraft's Performance Pad!
