If I upgrade to MX9 does it replace MX8, or can I still continue to also use MX8 too?

Also since I already have MX8 with the legacy plugins, if I want to continue to use the old MX8 legacy plugins in MX9 do I still need to select the legacy plugins download opinion with the MX9 download?

Oh and I’m assuming old MX8 projects will also run good with MX9?

Installing MX9 has no effect on your other versions. You can have them both installed, and in fact I personally recommend it for a period until you are certain to have your specific rig sorted. (I have v8 32 and 64 bit versions still installed and only fairly recently eliminated v7 myself for example.)

Previously installed and functioning plug-ins will still be accessible from v9

You have a new option upon installation to convert old projects, but I haven't used it.
Old projects have previously always been openable in new versions, and once you hit save they are converted to the new version.
I have only run new projects in 9 so far however, but the developers have always been very careful about backwards compatibility in the past.
Stay in tune, Mark

Purchased and ready to roll. Thanks fellas
And as always, was fun doing the beta testing. We getting shirts? I only ask since I was asked what my shirt size was when I registered to test again. \m/

We didn't get them last time and Mixcraft 8 required a lot or beta testing, so I kind of doubt it. The shirts must have been a thing they did early on and forgot to get rid of that bit in the registration process.

Yeah I tested 8 as well, was just curious. 9 is really impressive.

Hi,

People who helped us find and fix new bugs will have a chance to get a shirt, but we don't even have the shirts yet.
