Opening Mixcraft 8 projects in Mixcraft 9
Hello guys,
I'm in a little bit of a panic here I upgraded to Mixcraft 9 a little while ago and never had to re-open an older Mixcraft 8 project.
Now I tried opening an older project and I get errors that it cannot find several plug-ins.
When I installed Mixcraft 9, I remember not "ticking" the box where it said to install legacy plug-ins, so maybe that's the issue.
What would be the simplest path to be able to re-load my Mixcraft 8 projects and work on them? I would really prefer using Mixcraft 9 to edit those so maybe there is a way I can fix the missing plug-ins issue and resume my work?
Thanks a lot!

Yeah reinstall MX9, but this time check the MX8 vintage legacy boxes.

Thanks jlouvar, it seems to be working!
In one project, Mixcraft 9 couldn't load a backing track (.mp3) I had on a track... I re-added it manually, and now the vocals seem off-pitch compared to the original project... weird. I wonder what could have gone wrong here?

Hmm, I don’t know... Acoustica Greg will probably need to help you with that, you might need to send the Mixcraft log file. Greg should be online Monday (or maybe after the Super Bowl game).

Make sure the new project is set to the same bit depth and sample rate as the previous project.
A change in sample rate can cause the issue you describe.

Hi,
Maybe you had it set to match the project key in Mixcraft 9 (on the Sound tab), or maybe you had transposed it?

I've noticed the same thing in just using 8 by changing bit rate/sample rate. It plays the song in 1/2 speed. Very strange.

You’re welcome. Did you get the pitch problem solved?

Yeah, I don't know what happened... I browsed some project folders and imported a different WAV file and it worked.
Weird.
Weird.
