Sustain Pedal

Does anyone know how to make the sustain pedal stay depressed after saving and closing a session? (And don't say take away its meds. :| ) I tried to save it as a user preset, but even that doesn't work.

I realize I can mix it to audio, but while I'm working on a piano track I don't always finish it in one session. Every time I open up the project I have to press down the sustain pedal on each track containing Pianissimo. And sometimes I have a few because I'm employing Blue Arp to some and not to others.

Hi,

You could add CC# 64 to the start of the MIDI clips:

Thanks Greg.

I tried this and am getting inconsistent results. The first track it didn't take, but the 2nd and 3rd did. :?

I will most likely just finish up the midi tracks, mix them to audio and be done with it.

Although I haven't tried your method on another piano. I could experiment.

Hi,

It should always work, but it's up to the virtual instrument to play it correctly, and also make sure that the Hold Pedal command value is high enough and that there's no stray low Hold Pedal command value that's turning Hold Pedal off.
