I use a DI box - Instrument is plugged in there and I then use a jack cable from 'line through' to the amp input. This enables the normal use of the amp. The DI also has a direct out.

DI box is the way to go, I'd say a must in a guitarists bag, go direct and record the amp. Radial is top notch but you can find less expensive boxes that are fine, you may also want to look into reamping.

Just looked it up and you have a trs out which can go straight to your I/O, should also be able to use the fx loop there too, cool amp.

Does the Line out mute the speaker?
