Hi!
Is it normal to have different mixes when saving to MP3 and saving to Wav form?
I'm having different results. But it is the first time it happens.
Thanks!

What do you mean by different mixes/results?

Some instruments in Wav sounds different than in MP3. Also the mix as a whole is different. Some instruments are more audible than others.

Wav files are better than MP3 files, so sounding better is normal.

Hi,

When you mix down to MP3, the sample rate is always 44100 Hz. When you mix down to wav, you are able to select the sample rate by clicking Edit Details.

If you're not using a sample rate of 44100 Hz in Mixcraft's Sound Device preferences, you may get unexpected results when you mix to MP3. Or, if you mix down to a wav file that has a different sample rate. Some plugins don't work correctly if the sample rate changes upon mix down.

For consistent results, mix down to a wav file that has the same sample rate you're using in Sound Device preferences.

Or, if you want to make MP3 files, change your sample rate to 44100 Hz in sound device preferences.

I didn't say it sounds better. Of course in Wav it's sounding worse. I wouldn't be complaining if it sounded better, would I?

Thanks! It must be the guitar and bass plugin then, because it's mostly these 2 that are messing the whole thing.
