Great Symphony Orchestra Plugin - and it could be FREE!
Very impressed by this plugin I found advertised on facebook recently.
Nicely sampled by the BBC Symphony Orchestra in a pro studio, this is a lite (but very usable) version of its $500 big brother.
Just $49 or, if you have a good enough reason (like me - Old and retired ), It's free - if you're prepared to fill out a rather lengthy online questionnaire and wait for 14 days for the download. Well worth it methinks.
Several great videos on YouTube too.

Thanks for the tip Trevor. Getting older and semi-retired, I went for the long questionnaire, FREE in 14 days edition . Let's see if they deliver.

Done. Thank you! I use EW Play Silver, which has cool sounds, but lately it's been acting weird on me and constantly forgetting where the samples are located or are completely missing. I think it's going senile.

I got my copy a few weeks ago. I did the survey and got it free! The survey is a breeze, and you can tell the team put a little humor into the survey. The survey only took a few minutes too.., well worth it. The VST sounds great.

Received my free copy as well, but now sure would like the PRO version.
Just need to come up with $1300 and half a terabyte of disc space!

One thing to note.., I don’t think the VST is as CPU friendly as some claim. It’s not a CPU hog, but even though the actual sample library in its entirety isn’t very large, something within the GUI pushes the CPU up a little higher than I expected. Also, the VST cannot be run Multitimbral, so you’ll have to run separate instances of each part. It doesn’t bog my laptop down, but again, a little more than I expected from a program with such a small footprint. It was however free.., so it is what it is.

Hmm, I wonder why they made you wait 14 days... Any idea what purpose that serves?

Whetting the appetite and building anticipation may move some to just buy the software to get it right away.

It has a nice sound IMO but extremely basic, almost no articulations etc. Certainly worth free but I wouldn't pay even $50 for it...I'd rather pay more and get lots more.

Guys.....
I'm sorry but... I took the survey!
12 days left... and counting!

Seems to me its an obvious ploy to get your eyeballs on a few "newsletters" and expose you to their other products. Much of which is high end and reputable by the way, if their "thing" is your "thing"
The free product is a minimalist version that is normally priced very affordably anyway. And there is other free audio and tutorial content on the site of interest too, if you are into composing and sound design, it might be worth exploring a bit.

Hmm, okay thanks Thomas and Mark.
