Now it isn't on at the instrument level behind the plugin when the effect is switched on. I rebooted to check that it wasn't a stability issue at Windows level and it's the same, so I don't know why it displayed being on at the instrument level in my previous posting. Anyway, now it's like this

Okay the difference at the instrument level differed because I added the effect at a different level on that occasion of re-testing (see pictures). This is not relevant to the problem's existence, it still exists
