Hi,
Maybe it's me that forgot to do something about this but....
Each time I load a project, the play cursor, which should be at bar 0, appears at random locations, but never at the start of the song, whatever I do.
I put back the cursor at the start, save the project then when I re-load it, still, that indicator appears at any measure but never where it is supposed to be. I checked in the Preferences if ever there was a solution to this but without success.
EDIT: Forgot to mention: I have Mixcraft 9 Pro Studio, version 468
Thank you for any help

Re: Play cursor starts at random measure
Hi,
If I rewind the playback cursor to the start, then save, that's the way the project loads later. Are you seeing something different?
You do have to save it in that position.

Re: Play cursor starts at random measure
Thank you for answering.
Yes Greg, I understand,..
If I ever did some changes to the song, it kept the cursor at the last position it was saved. A normal situation. Sometimes it works but on some other times it doesn't.
I did find something though,...If I use the Return to start (RTS) button (double left arrow with a bar) to rewind at start position, then save, it doesn't memorize my changes, but if I use the HOME button and then SAVE and LOAD, it seems to work perfectly.
Shouldn't it be the same with the RTS button?

Re: Play cursor starts at random measure
Hi,
It's a single arrow with a bar, isn't it? That's the way I was testing. It also seems to work for me with the double arrow (but I have to click more to get to the start). What do your Interface settings look like? Maybe that's the difference.

Re: Play cursor starts at random measure
Yes sorry, single arrow with bar, lol. How dum of me. I was staring at it and still was thinking of a double arrow /w/ bar. I even made a typo error while writing RTS, which should be RTZ (Return To Zero)
About Preferences/Interface:
You're right Greg. Mine is different, the second option is ticked but I think it shouldn't.
The Set Playback Indicator When Clicking Inside Sound Workspace option could very well be the culprit. I'll change that and let you know...
EDIT: I guess this was it. While saving my project, I was clicking inside the Worksapace, which was moving my cursor bar.
It's now fixed
A nice option but to be used with care and patience.
I mark this a SOLVED.
Thanks Greg!
