Compare waveforms

Hi all,

I'm sure there's a simple solution to this but is there any way I can compare two waveforms side by side visually In Mixcraft?

I have two guitar tracks panned hard left and right. I want to check for phase issues by eyeballing the two waverforms together. Can this be done?

Thanks

Dave

As far as I know, this isn’t possible. There have been times where I wished MC had the ability to zoom in on a wave form.

Thanks.

To be honest, I've never needed it before. But I watched a video over the weekend where someone was doing it on ProTools and it's a great way of identifying phase issues with double tracked instruments. Not just guitars but snare drums and even vocals I guess.

It would be a good feature to have in Mixcraft. Like most things, you don't know you need it - until you do!

Hello,

You can compare frequencies rather than waveforms. To do that, add a TB parameteric EQ to each track. Keep it flat. Then engage the spectrum analyzer mode on each. Put them side by side and you can eyeball the frequency peaks.
