Is there a way to slow down the tempo to check on timing issues - like cut it in half with one button - or do I have to group them together and shorten the clips manually?
Thanks

You can try and change the tempo of the entire track.

I always select all tracks (CTRL A) then click the sound tab and select 'use project tempo'.
Changing tempo is then easy.
Changing tempo is then easy.
