Melodyne Studio 5 issue

Post by bryzar »

Hi there
I have just upgraded to Melodyne Studio 5 from Melodyne 5 editor ( I had no issues with editor)and I am having issues with resizing the melodyne studio 5 window. I read a previous post regarding resizing window which I followed.
I am implementing Melodyne from the track FX chain and have an instance on each individual vocal track. The suggestion is to undock the window then resize from the right bottom tab grab tab? this works fine but I lose the track list the correct pitch macro, and quantize time macro and note levelling macro...
Any clues ?? 🤔🙄
Hope you can help.
( BTW I have Mixcraft Pro 9 build 469).
Thanks Bryan

Hi,

How is it working if you use the integrated Melodyne on Mixcraft's Sound tab?

You can also contact Celemony directly here: Celemony support.

Hi Greg
Txs for the quick response
When I use the sound tab I get the previous editor 5 version of Melodyne.. no track list etc.
So I will contact Celemony and see what they say... oh dear ..🙄😏

Hi,

Mixcraft uses the VST3 version of Melodyne for the integrated version, so make sure that you install VST3 when you install Melodyne Studio.

Hi Greg
I contacted Celemony and explained the resizing issue ...they informed me that I was not using the correct workflow and should apply the same process as I did using the Editor version ie. highlight the track then sound tab ( I thought you needed an instance of Melodyne on each track being used :( :( ...anyway) this is fine except the Track mode button (the two blobs) does not function.
He also mentioned this...
" I see that you are using Melodyne as a VST3 transfer plug-in with Mixcraft. Is there a special reason for that? Generally, Mixcraft does support Melodyne ARA. "... Is this important/relevant???
When installing Studio 5 there is no tick box option for vst 3 or ARA plug in etc..the program simply installs after "accept agreement" etc.
Any previous version of Melodyne needed to be removed through Windows uninstall prior to installation of Studio 5
Hope you can help again
Txs

Hi,

Track mode is not supported in Mixcraft.

In regard to the other thing, he was asking you the same thing I was - why not use the integrated version of Melodyne? That's what "ARA" is - having a third-party plugin integrated into the DAW.

Hi Greg
By integrated I guess you mean just like a normal plug in on a track... this works but I cannot resize the window even the grab tab is missing
also the pitch and quantize macros are missing.
see images.. Its not looking good ... :( :(
Thanks
Bryan

Hi,

By integrated, I mean that when you select an audio clip and view it on the Sound tab, there's an option to apply Melodyne. ARA means that a third-party plugin can appear as part of the DAW.

Hi again greg
The process you illustrated is exactly the same process I used with Editor 5 before I upgraded to Studio 5..
The problem is the track mode (two blobs) does not function ..also the pitch and quantize macros are missing..
Its looking more like a refund Greg ..bummer :( :?

Hi,

As I mentioned, Tracks mode is not available inside Mixcraft. Looking at your screenshot, the pitch and quantize macros appear to be available. What happens when you try to use them?
