Hi
I have just started mixing down to stems... everything works fine but as you can see from the screen shot all the stem tracks show little visual
representation of the audio for each track ... however the level at faders for each track is quite healthy (trust me)LOL
Is normalization necessary for each track
Confused
Hope you can shed some light on this issue.
Bryan

Hi,
Do you see waveforms before you export to stems? What is the master fader set to on the original project (before you mix down to stems)?

Hi Greg
I inserted a levels plug in at the master ..its peaking around -5db ..again all tracks have good signal ..it sounds fine
so down mixed to stems then dragged stems onto a new Mixcraft project still many show no visual indication some do eg kick ,synth stab
Inserted the same Level plug in and it peaks at -5db and sounds the same as the pre stem mix which is good...still its kind of odd not to see the audio it helps to navigate parts of a song etc
Any clues ???

Re: stems
Hi,
In the screenshot, it looks like there are effects on the master track (the FX button is highlighted). If there are effects, you could try bypassing them just to see if that's the issue. Some effects could change the volume level.
But as long as your mix sounds good, it doesn't hurt anything. It just means that you've got plenty of headroom (the waveforms are nowhere near clipping).

Hi,
You could increase the track height to see waveforms.
