Airwaves (Thomas Dolby cover & video)

This was the song that got me started on my New Wave cover project. TD's first album "Golden Age of Wireless" is a marvel. This particular track stands out to me as a dreamy venture that really reached me emotionally. I made a clumsy attempt at a guitar version that bears little similarity to the original's mood. That said, I recommend listening to mine then going back to Mr. Dolby's to cleanse your palate. Or, if you never heard it before, come to appreciate how it should actually sound.

It really depends on what's going through my head and the level of energy/motivation at any given time. Actually, I recorded all of the music a few years ago but the vocals weren't too good because I unwittingly sang them through the back of my condenser mic and I could hear the boominess of the room and it drove me nuts. Plus, I didn't have pitch correction at the time and some of the sour notes drove daggers through my skull. So, I decided to remix/remaster them, add some fresh elements and re-record the vocals.

Add to that the videos, which I want to keep interesting, not just a loop. So, that kind of drags me down a bit. But I'm in no hurry.
