I'm having one small but odd problem

I have used Mixcraft for years and used the Mixcraft instruments for years with no problem, in fact many of them are great and stand up to or surpass other VST acoustic instruments out there.
The flute is acting crazy for me. At one point in the composition, it starts to warble. Like there is an effect on it or something, but there is nothing on the track, no effects, no volume adjustments, no velocity changes, just simple flute. I have tried everything I can think of and nothing makes the warble go away, once it starts at that point. I've copied it to a different track. I have selected and combined all the parts so they will be one digital segment instead of several.
When it starts warbling, if I go to change instruments and click on flute again, the warble stops, but it will then do it again the next time I play it.
Again, it only starts doing the warble at one point in the piece, before that it's fine, but then the warble starts. It does it on the mixdown too, the same way! There's nothing special going on at the point in the composition, no time changes or anything. Any ideas?
