Hi,
I like to make the audio I'm listening to speed up via the stretch function. when you do that is shrinks the file and thus makes it go by faster. However, when I set up automation based on the new location, and then when I set it back to 100%, the automation stays put but the file changes.
Is there a way to get the automation to "stick" to the audio? Does that make sense?
Thanks!

I kind of answered my own question. Instead of using the automation section, I'll do the volume edits on the file itself within the green section...then it will maintain the changes.

yeah sounds like you got it. There's track automation and clip envelope adjustment. The track automation functions independently of what ever happens to the clips. So if you shrink or stretch them or drag the clips, the track automation doesn't care. However, inside the clip you can adjust the envelopes which is basically like a clip type automation. That will move with the clip.
