And a Bit of Country

Post by TrevsAudio »

Such a pretty Country song, had to do a cover. :D

The usual Strat and P-Bass, with some help by EZDrummer and Mixcraft's Pianissimo and Cello.

Splendido! Sounds great! Is that a semi hollow guitar you are using? Is it you on piano? Well played and mixed!

Thanks so much Alex!

The rhythm guitar was my PRS Custom 22 with just the TB compressor and a preset from EZMix. I started the song some time back and sadly no longer have the PRS.

The arpeggiated chords were DI'd with my Squire Strat with only TB MultiFX (Tremelo).

The piano was pretty tedious. I cheated and slowed everything down a bit, and just listened to what was happening on the original song. With a bit of overdubbing and editing, I managed to get it as I wanted and then of course, back to project tempo.

That is very exciting! Is the guitar that you're playing a semi hollow model?

Hi!
Thanks for your interest and welcome to the forums. :D

The arpeggiated guitar in the intro is my Squire Affinity Strat. But it's been modded with vintage Alnico pickups and a 9 way wiring mod which I found here.

All my guitars are recorded DI and this one only had the TB MultiFX plugin on it with the Tremelo preset.

The rhythm guitar which comes in later was my PRS Custom 22 (don't have it now, sadly). This was also DI'd and has the TB Compressor as well as EZMix with the Jangly Clean Amps preset.
