Yesterday was the 3 year anniversary of the initial release of MC 9.

Cant believe how fast time goes by.

I know people are looking forward to MC10 but can't say enough good things about the current build.

Three years to put out a new version is too long, this DAW despite being excellent is getting overtaken by the competition. Waveform adds more features in a year than this adds in three.

The seemingly slow output of updates is, for me, a blessing in disguise.

For one reason, it probably means most of the common bugs have been worked out. Maybe not the unique, bizarre ones some of us experience. But that's expected in the world of Windows.

The second benefit is that it enables me to focus more on making music than playing with a more complicated toy. For that reason, as curious as I am to try #10, I'm in no hurry as I feel I haven't even fully explored #9 to its full potential.

As the website oldversion.com says "Newer isn't always better". It may be more of our ADD brains getting bored and wanting the next shiny, new thing. Just my 1.5 cents.
