Request native support for MIDI controllers here.

Post by Acoustica Greg »

Hi,

Mixcraft already supports most controllers via MIDI or Mackie control, but Mixcraft 10 has a new scripting API that makes it possible for people with Javascript skills to add native support for specific controllers. Use this topic to post requests for us (or for talented users) to create scripts that would provide native support for particular MIDI controllers.

Native support means you would just select the controller from a list in Control Surface preferences. Check there first to see if your device is already supported. We've already added some in Mixcraft 10, like Launchkey49 MK3.

Hi,

Doesn't the Korg NanoKontrol 2 work perfectly fine with Mackie Control? You have to make sure it's in Mackie mode, not CC mode.

I have one here.

Greg, with Mackie Control, just the transport, faders, pan and the mute, solo and record arm work.

Pressing the cycle button creates a looped section.
The tracks and marker buttons do nothing.

When I go into Korg Kontrol Editor and select Common and Control Mode it gives the options of Cubase, Digital Performer, Live, Pro Tools and Sonar, no Mackie Control.

The conditions I described above work like this.

Un-plug Korg then re-connect whilst holding the set marker and rewind buttons together. This places it in Mackie mode.

Then in prefs, go to Control Surfaces, select Mackie Control and use Korg as input and output devices.

Launchpad MK3 would be great to have Performance functions available. Can't dream of driven_by_moss level of implementation in Bitwig, but at least triggering clips for recording/playback would be nice
Thanks
