Upgrading from 9 PS to 10 PS - VST location questions

Hi all, late arrival at downloading 10 pro Studio upgrade. (No excuses, I know, I know) LOL.

My questions are based on maintaining 9 and 10 for a while >>> will not have them both open at the same time of course.

Will 9 and 10 "share" all of the plug in locations, IE Kontakt, Toontrack; or should I plan to map them in 10 as well? Also, when 10 installs any "new" VST's, is it safe to assume that it will not overwrite the ones from 9? I don't want to risk things disappearing and having to chase them down on backups.

Easy questions but want to be prepared.

Thanks - Mike

You don't have to change anything in the plugin locations. Simply enter the same vst folders in MC 10 as in version 9.

The installer for mine left the 9 dir and VST sub dir and deleted everything else for nine. For plugins, 10 is pointed at my 9/VST dir. Everything seems to be there. But I ran a "Scan for Plugins" in the preferences just to make sure.
