Join/stitch takes together

Hello

Sorry if this has been answered, I'm not sure of the correct search terms to use for this.

Is it possible to join/stitch takes together end to end?

My use case is to set up a small loop and hit record, I'm never sure how long the recording is going to be. This leaves me with multiple takes on lots of lanes, is there an easy way to create one long track out of them? In my previous DAW I could just drag the edge of the clip and uncover the whole recording but in Mixcraft it just repeats the same take over and over.

I hope this makes sense

Many Thanks!

Hi,

Put the clips on the same track or lane end to end, select them, and then press Ctrl+W.

If you have a bunch of clips on the same track that have gaps between them, you can select them, press Ctrl+J to butt them all up next to each other and then merge them with Ctrl+W.

Thank you for the reply!

So the only way is to drag and drop them manually and then merge them back together into a single clip?

Thanks

Hi,

Actually, if they are on lanes in the same track, you can select them and they will merge. Of course, you might not want to merge a bad take and a good take.
