Canon PIXMA TS9500

Post by [email protected] »

Hello fellow users
I have been using the Acoustica program for years with great pleasure
Now my old printer has died and I bought a new one
This is the Canon PRIMAX TS9500
That's why I turn to the forum
This printer is not in the list of printers

Is there anyone who can help me use this printer with the Acoustica program?

Hi,

Do you have the Canon TS9000 Series template? If not, download and install the label maker updater: http://download.acoustica.com/legacy/la ... update.exe

We don't have any newer updates that that. If the Canon TS9000 Series printer isn't working for you, then you're not going to be able to print directly on CDs with our software on that Canon model.

My old Canon printer, an MG 7720 with direct to disc printing capability, finally gave up the ghost. I purchased a Canon TS 9520 to replace the deceased printer. I found out that when I went to try to use CD/DVD Label Maker to print a label direct to disc on the Canon TS 9520, the program threw up an error, something about the media type not being set right. I wrote to support and they said that nobody uses discs anymore and that they would rather spend their time working on their other products. In other words, tough. To answer Greg's question, I tried the TS9000 series template but the same error of media mismatch still occurred. You'd think that between Acoustica and Canon a fix could be created but neither seems to give a hoot about their long time customers. It is a great program, assuming you have a printer that works with it. I ended up buying a disc labeling program that is capable of printing directly onto printable media and is compatible with my TS 9520 printer. It is called Surething Disc Labeler 7 Deluxe. It isn't nearly as user friendly as the Acoustica program but at least it works with my Canon TS 9520 printer. It is disconcerting when a company effectively tells its customers to go fly a kite rather than attempt to resolve their issues.
