Re: Separate a single drumtrack into different tracks
Hello,
I don't know what the chain of events were or the VSTs used that led up to a one click separation of drum parts with Studio 1. You don't say if it's MIDI or recorded audio.
I'll say this very generally: In Mixcraft a single MIDI file drum track can be split out but it takes some work. Since generic drums are mapped to specific MIDI notes, it is possible to use a VST like NoteMapper to separate specific MIDI notes to specific MIDI channels. Once the notes are going to specific channels, you can then route them as you need.
There's also something called multitimbral VSTis that allow their audio to be routed to different input/output ports. If the IOs are mapped in the VST correctly, a "one click" solution for splitting the audio mix exists in Mixcraft where the multi can be split to separate audio "mix" tracks simply by expanding the track that the VSTi is assigned.

Hi
it was a gm midi track and really in one click he separated all sounds in their own tracks
and the option is standard in Studio 1

Hi,
Thanks for the suggestion!
What you could do right now in Mixcraft would be to select the notes a row at a time, then cut and paste them to new clips.
