Stem not working

so i updated it and now im getting this error below on the picture and the SEPARATE MUSIC INTO STEMS is not showing when I right-click at all. I tried downloading again and reinstalling just like the error message says and still no stem separation shows up when I right click

What version of Windows are you using?

If you look in that folder, what is the file size of avcodec-58.dll?

the latest of Windows 10. Where do I look for these files? I only have 5 of the ones you just posted!

Hi,

They should be here:

C:\ProgramData\Acoustica\Mixcraft\installations\238

The tricky part is that the ProgramData folder is a system folder that may be hidden if you have that setting on in Windows, but you can just copy and paste the pathname into File Explorer to find it.

Hi,

It sounds like it only got partially installed. If you check for updates, are there some updates to install? The stem separation requires three different updates.

did all that and it shows I'm up to date and still no stem separation. Whats next? I have uninstalled , reinstalled and still not getting the stem separation

Hi,

When it shows the update screen, you don't have any un-checked updates? if you do, you could select them to get them to download.

You've got plenty of hard drive space, I presume?

Can you please send us the install.log files from these three folders (assuming they exist)?

C:\ProgramData\Acoustica\Mixcraft\installations\238
C:\ProgramData\Acoustica\Mixcraft\installations\241

i dont have a 236 folder. And I don't have an install.log file from any of the other two.

Hi,

Okay, so for some reason it didn't get installed completely. You can force it to try again by deleting some files in this folder:
C:\ProgramData\Acoustica\Mixcraft\download_records

Quit Mixcraft, then delete these files:

236.txt
238.txt
241.txt

Once those are deleted, start up Mixcraft and check for updates again.

ok did that, the right-click error went away. But still no stem separation link is showing in the right-click bar

You're right-clicking on an audio clip, correct? Just like in your screenshot?

The option would look like this:

Separate into stems option.

That may mean that it still didn't install fully. Do you have those install logs now?
